Name of the image is 'icon scaling.jpg"
Icons are larger on closer icons than further ones, hence they are scaling in size.
What I want to know is perhaps it should be in reverse? Bigger when distant to find bad guys, and smaller as he approaches so you can clearly see the attitude of the plane in flight without the icon dominating the field of view?
And is this a setting somewhere or a photoshop proposal being prepared? :)

You probably have all noticed this but the enemy aircraft is always ABOVE the icon print and a friendly aircraft is always BELOW the icon print. Comes in handy to remember when closing on bandit - you would think I would have more killing success wouldn't you! (-:

So its not a matter of seeing the airplane anymore (with the change in how the icon is relative to the aircraft), but trying to provide a sense of depth to a 2D playing field.

Will one get a sense of depth using VR?

 I would assume so.

If not, a fleshlight would give a sense of depth.

Turn off google safesearch for that one :D
